NDARAKWAI CONSERVANCY / CAMP

14 Permanente grosse Zelte wurden in dem privaten Schutzgebiet im Siha Distrikt/West Kilimanjaro (ca. 50 km2), einem Community Projekt, das die Maasais involviert, errichtet. Dieses Schutzgebiet schützt eine wichtige saisonale Wanderroute der Elefanten und gehört zum Amboseli – Ngasurai Becken Oekosystem. Vom Camp sieht man Kilimanjaro und Mt. Meru. Z.B. durch Kompostieren, Regenwasserauffangen usw. Minimieren sie negative Auswirkungen auf die Natur. 65 Säugetierarten und 350 Vogelarten, teils als Gäste, teils als ständig ansässig sind aufgelistet.

US$ 25.- pro Person pro Nacht werden an das Kilimanjaro Schutzprojekt abgegeben. Mit Ihrem Besuch unterstützen Sie das Fortfahren dieses Projektes, um dieses einmalige Gebiet zu schützen. Zudem belohnen und fördern Sie die Anstrengungen und die Prinzipien des Oekotourismus.

Ndarakwai Ranch is over 11,000 acres in size and located in Siha District, West Kilimanjaro.
The privately owned ranch is an experiment in self-sustaining conservation preserving a variety of habitats that are home to over 65 mammal species, and 350 bird species (at last count).
Ndarakwai is part of the Amboseli / Ngasurai Basin eco-system and helps to preserve important seasonal elephant routes. Many species are permanent residents, while others use Ndarakwai seasonally. From the camp you can see Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru. For example by composting waste and catching rain water the negative impact on nature is reduced. Honoring the principles and practices of Eco-Tourism!

Visitors can stay in the permanent camp in large tents, providing space for maximum 24 guests. With your visit you directly support the future of this important and beautiful place!

		Zu sehende Tiere: Elefanten, Steppenzebras, Elenantilopen, Maasaigiraffen, Wasserbock, Impalas, Grant- und Thomson Gazellen, Paviane, Warzenschweine, Weisskehl- und Grüne Meerkatzen, Kleiner Kudu, Gerenuk, Büffel, Gnus, Streifen, Weiss-Schwanz- und Zwergmangusten, Schabrackenschakale, Afrikanische Wildkatze, Klippspringer, Bergriedböcke, Ginsterkatze, Bushbabies, Springhase, u.v.m.

Geniessen Sie einige Nächte in diesem Gebiet und Sie werden belohnt mit interessanten und vielfältigen Tierbeobachtungen, prächtigen Sonnenuntergängen und Begegnungen mit Maasais.

Ihre Pirschfahrten können von einem ansässigen Deutschprachigen Tourguide oder Elvira begleitet werden. Ndarakwai kann entweder vom Kilimanjaro Flughafen oder Arusha erreicht werden und/oder in eine Safari eingebunden werden.

Reitsafari pro Tag pro Person: von US$ 300.- auf guten, buschgewohnten Pferden.

Fusspirschen, um zum Beispiel Colobusaffen am Fusse des Kilimanjaro und Flug in einer Cesna am Gipfel des Kilimanjaro vorbei sind extra.

Enjoying some nights in this area will reward you with many interesting game and bird observations, amazing sunsets and meetings with Maasais.

Lovely food, interesting day and night game drives, information about animals and plants and the live of the Maasais. US$ 25.- conservation contribution per night.

Trekkings with mobile camps can be arranged.

You can get to the Ranch from Kilimanjaro airport or Arusha or binding it into your safari.

Horse back safaris per day per person: from US$  300.- on nice, well-trained horses.

Walking safaris to see for example Colobus monkeys on the foot of Kilimanjaro or flight in a Cesna to the peak of Kilimanjaro are at extra cost.

You can meet: elephants, plain zebras, waterbuck, impalas, grant- and thomson gazelles, eland antelopes, dikdik, warthogs, blue and green monkey, baboons, genet cats, african wildcat, banded, dwarf and white-tailed mongoose, lesser kudu, buffalo, wildebeest, mountain reedbuck and many more.
