SAMBURU

Die Samburu Lodge liegt im Samburu Nationalreservat direkt am Ewaso Nyiro Fluss. Sie bieten Bungalows und Zimmer in einem 2-stöckigen Gebäude alle mit Sicht auf den Fluss. Am Abend füttern sie die grossen Krokodile, die man dann aus nächster Nähe sehen kann. Essen und Service sind gut. Manchmal ist sie etwas überfüllt und der Essensablauf wird durch die grossen Gruppen, die oft in Eile sind etwas ungemütlich.  Mittelklasse.  

Samburu Lodge lies inside the Samburu national reserve directly on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river. They offer bungalows und rooms in  2 story building. All rooms have view on the river. In the evening they feed huge crocodiles and you can see them from close range. Food and service are good. Sometimes the lodge is a bit crowded and it becomes a bit hectic when large groups are eating in a hurry.  Middle class.

Sentrim Samburu Camp liegt mit seinen 20 Zelten auf der Samburu Seite am Ufer des Ewaso Nyiro Flusses. Eröffnet 2008. The 20 tents of Sentrim Samburu Camp is on the Samburu side along the Ewaso Nyiro river. Opened in 2008.

Das Samburu Intrepids Camp liegt fast an der Grenze des Samburu Reservates direkt am Ewaso Nyiro Fluss. Die Zelte haben alle Blick auf den Fluss und genügend Privatsphäre. Die Einrichtung ist sehr schön. Essen und Service sind sehr gut. Jeden Abend wird ein interessanter Vortrag gehalten. Gehobener Standard.  

Samburu Intrepids Camp is near the border up the river but still inside the Samburu reserve directly along the Ewaso Nyiro river. All tents are facing the river and have enough privacy. They are tastefully furnished. Food and service are very good. Each evening an interesting lecture is held. Higher standard.

Das Larsens Camp liegt etwas flussabwärts von der Samburu Lodge innerhalb des Reservates direkt am Fluss. Jedes Zelt hat seine Privatsphäre. Essen und Service sind sehr gut. Gehobener Standard.  
Luxuscamps haben den Vorteil, dass sie weniger Personen zur gleichen Zeit beherbergen können und die Atmosphäre deshalb persönlicher und nicht hektisch ist.  

Larsens Camp is further down the river than Samburu Lodge within the reserve. Each tent has its privacy near the river. Food and service are very good.   Higher standard. Luxury camps have the advantage not to have a large number of beds. Therefore the atmosphere is personal and not hectic at all.

Elephant Bedroom Camp
wurde erst vor Kurzem gebaut. Die wenigen, luxuriös eingerichteten Zelte sind direkt am Ewaso Nyiro Fluss. Dies erlaubt gute Tierbeobachtung vom Camp aus.
is a newly opened camp within Samburu National reserve, directly on the bank of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Only a few tents with luxurious furniture and bathrooms guarantee privacy and good opportunities for animal observation just in the camp.

 MOBILE CAMPING  

Eines unserer Zelte auf dem Campingplatz direkt am Fluss unter Schatten spendenden Flussakazien. Toilettenzelt im Hintergrund.    

Obwohl es sich um eine öffentliche Campsite handelt, haben wir unsere Nische für uns. Tiere und Vögel sind an Menschen gewohnt. Am Abend besuchen uns jeweils Ginsterkatzen und tagsüber halten uns die stehlenden Meerkatzen und Paviane auf Trab. Vögel sind ständig in und um die Campsite.

Even it is a public campsite we get our privacy. Animals and birds are used to people. Mostly in the evening genet cats roam inside our camp searching for leftovers and at daytime baboons and Green monkeys keep us busy guarding our items, since they like to take anything. Birds are within and around the camp.

BUFFALO SPRINGS

	Die Serena Samburu Lodge liegt auf der Buffalo Springs Seite, direkt am Ewaso Nyiro Fluss. Wie alle Serena Lodgen bieten sie gutes Essen und Service. Blick von der Samburu Seite auf die Serena Lodge. Mittelklasse.   Serena Samburu Lodge is situated on the Buffalo Springs side, directly on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river. Like all Serana lodges they offer good food and service.
Ashnil Samburu Camp liegt mit seinen 23 Zelten am Ewaso Nyiro Fluss. Es wurde 2008 eröffnet. Ashnil Samburu tented Camp has 23 tents along the Ewaso Nyiro river. It opened 2008.
